Judith Miller’s book canceled due to recent Plamegate confession

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

Fox News contributor and author Judith Miller recently confessed that Dick Armitage was not the person who exposed Valerie Plame as CIA, and that "a lot of people" in Washington knew this.

Miller went on to say that she was going to tell the story of what really happened during the Plamegate scandal her way in a book due out this spring.

Keep in mind that at that time, Miller had not planned to make a confession about Plamegate. When she realized what she had done, she immediately contacted Scooter Libby in hopes that he could do damage control.

Anyone want to guess what happened next?

Suddenly, with absolutly no warning and no explanation, the release of Miller's book was canceled.

Ouch. It's gotta hurt when you write your memoir and you can't release it because of your own big mouth.

Now Miller is refusing to answer any questions about Plamegate or the cancellation of her eagerly awaited book.

And she's not alone.

Her publisher, Simon & Schuster, and Fox News are also refusing to answer any questions.

The good news: former CIA attorney John Rizzo's recent willingness to discuss Plamegate and his acknowledgment that it was a CIA disinformation campaign could very well make hearing Miller's version of events unnecessary.

We'll see, won't we?

In any case, it might be a good time for you to consider another career change, Judith.

Just a suggestion.

Judith Miller has rendered the executives at Fox News speechless with her recent confession that she knew Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage was not the person who leaked Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA operative.

Ms. Irena Briganti

Does Fox News have a statement for the media pertaining to the latest news that involved Judith Miller exposing fraud committed by the DoJ?

Miller's confession is very problematic for Fox News for the simple fact that this is big news. However, this big news story will bring un-welcome scrutiny on the "Defender of the First Amendment" monopoly Roger Ailes has developed for Fox News with Judith Miller.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt when you're rendered speechless to defend your First Amendment defender.

Will Fox News continue to shield Judith Miller, or will they adhere to their responsibilities as a News organization?

Can Judith Miller survive another credibility exam?

The answers to these, and many other questions coming soon.......

The Tribune and Sun Times: Enemies of Chicago’s People

Share

Editorial Board

Former pollster for Jimmy Carter, and long-time Democrat Pat Caddell, is not a conservative Republican, is not a Tea Party person, and has never been a Republican.  He recently called the American media an “enemy of the American people”.

He delivered that accusation before the Accuracy in Media organization here, and, more briefly, recently on the FOX network.

We share Caddell’s characterization of the media.  And, we think it’s time to bring that criticism home to Chicago.

Chicago’s two largest daily newspapers, the Tribune and the Sun Times, are, and have long been, enemies of Chicago’s people – all of its people.

Their owners and publishers, their editors, their reporters – their entire staffs – are complicit in the level of corruption in this city that has warranted Cook County the reputation as being one of the most corrupt, if not the most corrupt, place in America.

The degree of rot in city, county and state governments could not have been sustained, to such a depth and length, without the complicity of Chicago’s two, largest newspapers.

The Trib and the Times are, in short, the essential enablers of Chicago’s corruption.

They do not, nor have they been for many years, reporters of the news. They manage the flow of news, doing just enough to occasionally give the impression of being watch dogs guarding against municipal malfeasance, or bold sources of information concerning on-going crime sprees.

In fact, they are neither, for they do not fundamentally serve the best interests of Chicago’s people.

They are neither courageous, nor free, nor independent. Consequently,…

They are enemies of Chicago’s people.

To be continued....
