Scooter Libby helped Judith Miller concoct the fairy tale titled “The Story”

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

It's no surprise that Judith Miller's long overdue book, "The Story", is permeated with falsehoods and flat-out lies.

What is as a surprise is that Scooter Libby has been so clumsy in concealing his intimate involvement in the writing and selling of Miller's latest fairy tale.

In August of 2013, roughly eight months before her book was originally due to be released, I interviewed Miller about her upcoming "memoir." My focus was primarily on the Libby trial.

During that interview, Miller confessed to me that she knew that Deputy Secretary of State Dick Armitage was not the person who exposed Valerie Plame as a CIA employee.

But Miller forgets to mention that fact in her book. Instead, she sticks to the government's false version that Armitage exposed Plame's identity.

Here's another fact that Miller forgets to mention in her book: She was aware of FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds' sworn testimony that Under Secretary of State Marc Grossman was actually the one who exposed Plame as a CIA employee in 2001.

However, Miller refused to answer any questions regarding Edmonds - stating she would address Edmonds' important testimony in her book.

Surprise, surprise. Miller apparently forgot to mention Edmonds or Grossman in her book.

What Miller did do immediately following our discussion was to inform Libby how poorly the interview went for her.

And just one hour later, I heard from Scooter himself:

Thanks for your e-mail. My apologies for the delay in responding; I have been on the road a fair amount and have had difficulty catching up.

I am grateful to you and the many others who have expressed outrage at how I have been treated and who have offered help. While I appreciate such offers, I have consistently let others know that this is not the way that I wish to proceed. That remains the case.

There may well come a time when this will shift, but for now I continue to think that this would not be a good time for others to address my case. This does not change that I remain grateful for your interest and kind inquiry.

Best,

Scooter Libby

Were you aware of the fact that FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds had documented for the Dept. of Justice that, "Special Counsel" Patrick Fitzgerald's star witness in U.S v Libby, Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman, was the man who had blown Brewster Jennings & Associates and Valerie Plame's CIA cover in 2001? The government has it on tape.

Did Patrick Fitzgerald withhold this information from you and Mr. Libby?

What does Dechert partner Glenn A. Fine say about it? Glenn had this information before Fitzgerald was appointed "Special Counsel"

___________________________________________

First things first. I never expressed any outrage about how Scooter was treated. Although I will admit I did not like being lied to.

As you can clearly see, Libby did not want me to clear his name by stating facts. This was due to the fact that he was already working closely with Judith Miller to concoct a story that was in complete contradiction of those same facts.

Here's another underreported fact that Libby, Miller and many others in Washington would rather the public not know: The judge in the Libby case - Reggie B Walton - was the same judge who imposed a gag order on Edmonds under the State Secrets Act.

Judge Reggie B Walton

What are the odds of that?

Here's a news flash for Scooter: I was already aware of the fact that Libby's attorneys had arranged for Edmonds to meet them late one night at the Willard Hotel, where she offered to testify on his behalf.

However, Libby's attorneys never did call Edmonds to testify at his trial.

Why in the world would they refuse to call a witness who could blow the government's whole case out of the water?

After all, Judge Walton considered Edmonds so credible that he gagged her, supposedly for the sake of national security.

So unless Libby himself insisted that Edmonds not be called as a defense witness his attorneys are guilty of legal malpractice.

And if he did, you have to ask yourself why Libby would insist that the one person whose testimony would result in his case being dismissed not be called as a witness for the defense?

Even more ridiculous, Judge Walton allowed the Libby trial to proceed when he knew that Grossman exposed Plame's identity two years prior to the start of the Libby investigation.

As for Miller's decision to exclude Edmonds' testimony from her so-called "correct the record" book, she should at the very least explain why she chose to ignore evidence that would have averted her well-publicized 85 day incarceration .

One thing is for certain "The Story" deserve far more scrutiny from the media than it has been subjected to so far.

Deja vu - Judith Miller is once again spreading false narratives and the complicit media is letting her get away with it.

Up next: My communications with Libby and the PR team he assembled behind the scenes to sell us Miller's latest literary work of fiction.

Plamegate update: Clarice Feldman says Sibel Edmonds misunderstood

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

American Thinker contributor Clarice Feldman came up with a stunning justification for her hit piece on Sibel Edmonds' credibility.

After she was criticized for failing to provide any facts or references to support her public declaration that FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds is not credible, Feldman finally offered this journalistic gem:

"p to p has no secret info to my knowledge. As I recall the investigation of Sibel's charges was mixed--She was found credible respecting claims of the operation of the FBI's Arabic translation group. Not so with her assertions that a variety of high govt officials were engaged in treasonous stuff with Turkey. As to those things I thing she misunderstood what she had overheard"

So, according to Clarice Feldman, the woman who testified before the 911 Commission and had state secrets privilege invoked on her twice, simply "misunderstood what she overheard" on the FBI wiretap tapes.

Wow, thanks for clearing that up for us, Clarice.

Now if you don't mind, just tell us the correct translation of what is on the FBI wiretap tapes that Edmonds "misunderstood".

And please show us where DoJ Inspector General Glenn Fine says Edmonds is not credible as it pertains to "her assertions that a variety of high govt officials were engaged in treasonous stuff with Turkey" in his unclassified report.

Because we can't find that in the report. Or anywhere else for that matter.

Unless of course Clarice received a copy of the classified report. Well, did you Clarice?

But Feldman is right about one thing: "Plamegate" was a hoax. However, she is not telling the truth about the who, what, why, when, and where of the hoax. Or the more accurate description - disinformation campaign.

And now Feldman is continuing the disinformation campaign by quoting from a new book by John Rizzo, a CIA attorney and self described friend of Patrick Fitzgerald.

Really?

Will get back to you on that one......more to come...

Valerie Plame lied to Congress and Chairman Henry Waxman knew it

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

On March 16, 2007 while testifying to the Congressional Oversight Committee, Valerie Plame lied under oath. And Chairman Henry Waxman was fully aware of the act of perjury being committed by Plame.

Long before Congressman Waxman heard sworn testimony from Valerie Plame at a House Oversight Committee hearing, Congressman Waxman was briefed by former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds.

In addition to being briefed by Edmonds.

Congressman Waxman was provided Inspector General Glenn Fine's classified report that contained the fact that Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA operative was exposed in 2001 when Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman was secretly recorded warning Turkish nationals to stay away from Brewster Jennings & Associates because it was a CIA front.

And as Chairman Waxman was well aware, Brewster Jennings & Associates was the CIA front that Plame claims gave her covert status.

Like many in our government, Congressman Waxman thought Edmonds (the most gagged woman in the U.S.A.) would never be heard.

You thought wrong Henry. Oops!

Now, armed with the knowledge that Congressman Waxman was fully aware that Valerie Plame was lying to the oversight committee. And the fact that we also know "Special Counsel" Patrick Fitzgerald's investigation was a sham, and United States v I. Lewis Libby was a show trial.

With this in mind take another look at the despicable conduct of Chairman Waxman as he lies to all of America, and tries (but fails) to discredit an honest witness.

Congressman Henry Waxman, time for you to join Sen. Chuck Grassley up on stage with your pants down.

Plamegate cover-up: Judith Miller is reaching out to Scooter Libby for help

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

IP2P recently reported Judith Miller's confession that she knew former Deputy Secretary of State Dick Armitage was not the person who really exposed Valerie Plame as a CIA operative.

What we did not report at that time was that Judith Miller contacted Lewis "Scooter" Libby immediately after making that confession in the hope that Scooter could intervene, and convince us not to pursue this explosive story.

Clearly Scooter did not convince us.

However, we did find it interesting that the woman (Miller) who purportedly spent 80 days in jail before reaching out to Scooter for help during the Plame investigation reached out to Scooter for help within hours of a discussion about Dick Armitage.

Let's examine a possible reason for this interesting phenomena.

It's a known fact that FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds testified under oath that FBI wiretap recordings captured Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman exposing Brewster Jennings & Associates and Plame as CIA in 2001 to individuals connected to the American-Turkish Council.

What's not well known is this:

According to Edmonds, while he was at the State Department Grossman would brag:

We just fax to our people at the New York Times. They print it under their names."

Wow! Armitage's friends at the American-Turkish Council must have liked hearing that.

Now, ask yourself this:

Why did Miller think Scooter could or would help her with her current predicament?

How did Miller know Dick Armitage did not expose Valerie Plame as CIA before Sibel Edmonds made it public that Marc Grossman did?

Dick Armitage and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz

Dick Armitage and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz

Judith,

Were you receiving stories via fax from Dick Armitage and his friends while you were employed at the New York Times?

Is Dick Armitage the mystery editor you mentioned that would not run your Plame story in the New York Times (a story Armitage clearly intended for Robert Novak to publish)?

Much more to follow..... until then, keep in mind the infamous words of Armitage friend and cohort William Casey.

Miller was contacted: however, she refused to comment.

Here are the facts:

Sen. Grassley was ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2002 when FBI translator Sibel Edmonds informed him that Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman was caught on a federal wiretap exposing Brewster Jennings & Associates as a CIA front to the Turks.

FBI Director Robert Mueller and Senator Chuck Grassley

In 2003 Sen. Grassley actively engaged in a cover-up by participating in the appointment of U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald as "Special Counsel" to investigate who exposed Brewster Jennings and Valerie Plame as CIA.

Sen. Grassley's involvement in this cover-up was shielded from the public by the fact that the U.S. Government gagged FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds by invoking States Secrets Privilege on her.

But on August 8,2009 Sibel Edmonds testifies under oath that Marc Grossman exposed Brewster Jennings & Associates as a CIA front in 2001.

And, Edmonds also testified that Inspector General Glenn A. Fine, Sen. Chuck Grassley and Sen. Patrick Leahy were officially informed of Grossman's crimes in 2002.

That's when Sen. Chuck Grassley and many others in government got caught with their pants down.

Secret is out!

Not only will others join Sen. Grassley on stage with their pants down, but this scandal is going to be "The Full Monty"

Clarice Feldman believes Dick Armitage is a liar, except….

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

Clarice Feldman is a writer for the American Thinker who has taken the position that Dick Armitage is a liar, except when his lies fit her agenda. Then you can believe him over all others.

Feldman's agenda: Keep Americans from learning that "Plamegate" is a cover-up, and that her friends in Washington, DC were not victims. They were participants.

Remember we said "Now that the lie is out in the open, individuals involved in the "Plamegate cover-up" are having difficulty answering the simplest of questions."

That's because once Armitage's lies are fully exposed to the public, the "Plamegate cover-up" comes crashing down, exposing the granddaddy of all scandals. And, that will explain a plethora of scandals. Including current ones!

August 30, 2006 - What President Bush Should Do about Plamegate by Clarice Feldman

http://www.americanthinker.com/2006/08/what_president_bush_should_do.html

You state your belief that Dick Armitage, Colin Powell, John Ashcroft and James Comey were co-conspirators against President George W Bush. The conspiracy you accuse them of orchestrating was commonly known as "Plamegate"

Fast forward to today.

Judith Miller exposed “Plamegate” as a cover-up

https://illinoispaytoplay.com/2013/11/07/judith-miller-exposed-plamegate-as-a-cover-up/

FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds has since testified under oath that Valerie Plame's CIA front Brewster Jennings & Associates was exposed in 2001 by Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman, who coincidently reported directly to Deputy Secretary of State Dick Armitage.

And, Judith Miller is now on record stating that she knew Dick Armitage was not who exposed Valerie Plame as CIA, and that a lot of people knew that.

Clarice, so we are clear on this.

Now that you have full knowledge of Miller's confession, and Edmonds testimony.

You're telling me that you still believe Dick Armitage, a man you accused of conspiring against The President of the United States, was telling the truth when he confessed (in 2006) that he exposed Valerie Plame in 2003.

And, you believe Judith Miller and FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds are both lying when they say Armitage did not expose Valerie Plame.

However, you refuse to offer a reason for this peculiar belief.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

Or, are we clear on this?

(name redacted)

What Feldman refuses to tell her readers is, that there were hoards of people in Washington, DC who knew that Marc Grossman exposed Brewster Jennings & Associates in 2001.

Including: FBI Director Robert Mueller, Dept. of Justice Inspector General Glenn A. Fine, Senator Chuck Grassley and Senator Patrick Leahy.

Clarice Feldman would like you to believe that Dick Armitage, Colin Powell, John Ashcroft and James Comey conspired against President George W. Bush while Mueller, Fine, Grassley, Leahy and others in positions of power just watched.

Really? Wouldn't that make them all co-conspirators?

Clarice, when a conspiracy involves this many people in Washington, the conspiracy is not against anyone in Washington, it's against We the People

Clarice Feldman is right about one thing--Dick Armitage is a liar!

Thanks to Sibel Edmonds, that is a well documented fact.

The fact that you and your firm Dechert LLP represented Lewis 'Scooter" Libby in U.S. v Libby puts you in a very per-carious situation due to recent developments.

As you can see from the Illinois Pay-to-Play article linked below, your client should never have been indicted much less ever brought to trial. And, as Libby's defense attorney in that case, it is incumbent on you to rectify this egregious misconduct on the part of the Dept. of Justice.

The dilemma for you and Dechert LLP is, if you honor your obligation to your client and your profession, your partner at the firm, Glenn Fine, may lose his license to practice law.

However, if you ignore your obligation to your client, you will lose the trust of those who have, and would consider hiring your firm, and you diminish your entire profession.
Perhaps, even exposing the firm to legal complications and liabilities.

Advance notice of your decision would be appreciated.

DoJ Inspector General Glenn A. Fine complicit in fraud known as “Plamegate”

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

By allowing former Deputy Attorney General James B. Comey to appoint Patrick Fitzgerald "Special Counsel" to investigate "Plamegate" based on what he knew to be a lie, former Department of Justice (DoJ) Inspector General Glenn A. Fine became complicit in fraud perpetrated against the American people.

When asked why he allowed Comey to appoint a "Special Counsel" to investigate who exposed Brewster Jennings and Associates and Valerie Plame as CIA, when he (Fine) knew that it was Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman that did so in 2001(2 years earlier), Fine said he'd rather not talk about it.

When pressed to deny that he allowed Comey to appoint Fitzgerald based on a lie, Fine declined to do so.

Here is what we know:

Inspector General Glenn Fine whose sole purpose was to make sure that officials at the Dept of Justice do not abuse the immense powers they've been granted, is not denying that he knowingly allowed officials to abuse that power.

Here is what we need to learn:

Why did Fine allow DoJ officials to break the law?

And, how many other acts of corruption and abuse of power did Glenn Fine allow during his ten year reign as Inspector General that began in Dec 2000?

If we allow the Dept. of Justice to be above the law, then what?

Much more on DoJ corruption to come.....

ALERT: Obama’s nominee for FBI Director in jeopardy!

Share

Ernie Souchak, Editor-in-Chief

James B. Comey's confirmation as FBI Director may be in jeopardy due to one unanswered question:

How many times can you out a CIA operative?

This question arises from sworn testimony given by FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, who was gagged by the federal government under the State Secrets Privilege.

However, Edmonds testified under oath that Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman originally outed Valerie Plame as a CIA employee. Grossman did this in 2001 when he warned Turkish operatives to stay away from Plame’s employer, Brewster Jennings & Associates, because it was a front for the CIA.

Marc Grossman at an American-Turkish Council meeting

In other words, stay away from Valerie Plame – she works for the CIA.

According to Edmonds’ sworn testimony, given in a deposition in 2009 for Schmidt v. Krikorian, Grossman revealed Plame's identity as a CIA operative in the summer of 2001, and DoJ Inspector General Glenn A. Fine was briefed by Edmonds concerning these assertions while she was still an FBI employee.

Edmonds was fired from her job as an FBI translator on March 22 2002.

So, if Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA employee was blown in the summer of 2001 by Marc Grossman, and Inspector General of the DOJ, Glenn A. Fine was fully briefed on this crime, why did then Attorney General John Ashcroft recuse himself from overseeing the Plame case and allow his deputy Comey to appoint U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald as Special Counsel, tasked with finding the culprit who outed a CIA employee who had already been previously outed?

Incidentally, court records confirm Plame's husband, Joe Wilson, and Grossman were friends.

Listen to a portion of Edmonds’ sworn testimony below.

Testimony regarding Brewster Jennings & Associates starting at 6:00

Transcript of full testimony here:

We at IP2P believe that it’s important that Comey be asked - and answer - questions about his appointment of a Special Counsel in the Plame charade.
